Seasonal Events

Teldaria runs limited-time seasonal events — Christmas, Halloween and the like — each with its own area, its own hunt, and its own currency and rewards. They are switched on by staff rather than scheduled, and everything in them is temporary: the seasonal warps, the shop and the points all close down with the season.

There is no seasonal event running at the moment, and the next one is unlikely before Halloween or Christmas. This page covers the seasons Teldaria has run before and how they worked. The details that only matter while a season is live — its dates, which world to hunt in, how many collectibles are out there and what the shop stocks — are announced on the server and in Discord when one opens.

For the everyday minigames that run all year, see Events.

The Hunt

Every season is built around the same core activity: a server-wide hunt. Staff hide collectible heads across the map — presents at Christmas, eggs at Easter — and right-clicking one pays out Event Points. The theme and the shop stock change from event to event, but the mechanics below have stayed the same.

Collectibles are placed as decorative heads sitting in the world. To claim one, right-click the head itself with your main hand. Clicking the air does nothing, and off-hand clicks are ignored — you have to actually hit the block.

Each head is claimed once per player. Finding one you have already collected gives you nothing and tells you "You have already found this egg!" — so there is no way to farm the same hiding spot twice, and there is also no race: another player claiming a head does not remove it for you.

Not every head is worth the same. Staff set a point value on each one when they hide it, so a well-hidden collectible in a nasty corner of the map can be worth several times what an easy one gives. When you claim one you are told exactly how many points it was worth. How many are hidden in total varies from season to season; /event shows the live count while one is running.

Event heads are not always confined to the event map — a season can hide them in the seasonal warps, the hub or the normal worlds as well. If a hunt reaches beyond the event world, that is announced in the event release, so read the announcement before deciding where to search.

Heads are given a random skin from a preset list when they are placed, so they do not all look identical. Learn the silhouette rather than a single texture.

Finding Every Collectible

Claiming the last one on the server triggers a broadcast to everyone online naming you as having found them all, plus a bonus of 2,000 levelling EXP paid straight into your Level progress.

The bonus is a one-time claim. If staff hide more collectibles after you have already finished, tracking them down does not pay it out a second time.

Earning Points From Mobs

While a season is running, killing tiered mobs can also drop Event Points. This works only in the world that event is set to use — which changes from event to event — and only for mobs carrying one of the server's tier prefixes. Untiered mobs and vanilla spawns never pay out.

The drop is always exactly 1 point, no matter how tough the mob was; rarer tiers simply roll for it more often. You must land the kill yourself — mobs finished off by pets, traps, or other mobs give nothing.

Mob Tier Chance Per Kill Points
Mythic 4% 1
Transcendent 2% 1
Heavenly 1% 1
Legendary 0.2% 1
Fatal 0.1% 1
Hellish 0.1% 1
Tormented 0.1% 1
Ghostly 0.1% 1
Forgotten 0.1% 1
Any untiered mob Never 0

These chances are fixed and are not affected by Looting, luck, or rank perks.

The Event Shop

/eventshop opens the event shop: a large menu (54 slots by default) stocked entirely by staff for that season. Every icon shows its price as an extra line of lore — Cost: <points> — and buying is a single click. The stock is rebuilt for each event, so what is on the shelves depends entirely on the season. The shop is open to every player — there is no rank requirement.

A few things worth knowing before you spend:

Your Point Balance

Event Points are their own currency. They are not money, not tokens, and not vote points — they live only on your event profile and are spent only in the event shop.

Points are wiped between events. Anything you do not spend before a season closes is gone, so clear your balance in the event shop while the event is still live rather than saving it for next time.

Your balance and your list of found collectibles are saved per player and survive relogs and restarts within an event. They are written to disk when you buy something and when you log out, so in the rare case of a server crash, points earned since your last purchase may not have been saved.

Event Commands

Command What It Does
/event Shows how many collectibles you have found, how many are currently hidden on the server, and your Event Point balance. In-game only.
/eventshop Opens the event shop. Available to every player.

Event commands take a few seconds to wake up after a server restart — roughly the first 20 seconds after the server comes back up, /event and /eventshop will not respond yet. Wait a moment and try again.
