Bloodlord Balthazar
"You have my attention, knight. You wish to kill me? Blood is the currency of life. Today, we settle our debts."
Balthazar, thought to be defeated, returns in a new, stronger form with frightening powers that can threaten even the most powerful of players. Custom food and elixirs are essential in surviving his onslaught of terror and destruction.
How to Summon
To summon Bloodlord Balthazar, you must first return to the other realms and defeat old bosses to acquire 9 soul shards from the following bosses: Queen Slime, Nightmare, Forgemaster, and Fenrir. Then with a blood vial enhanced with netherite ingots, one can craft the [Blood of the Gods] to sacrifice by throwing in the pit under the throne to finally summon Bloodlord Balthazar.
Reinforced Blood Vial: "A fortified housing designed to sustain otherworldly substances."
Soul: The essence of a powerful being, formed into an object that can fit in the palm of your hand.
Blood of the God's: "When holding this blood vial to your ear, you hear whispers, wing flaps, a mighty howl, and the clang of foundry metal. A worthy sacrifice to the bloody king."

Move Set (Pre-Rage)
With both familiar and new moves, don't be caught off guard by the newly reformed Balthazar:
- Several new attacks
- Returning abilities are faster and more aggressive
- Abilities can strip resistance, a buff given from Enchanted Golden Apples and Potion of the Turtle Master
- Heals on multiple occasions by sapping the life force of fallen players
- Gains permanent damage resistance when enraged

Special Abilities
Enhanced Dark Decay
Channels black orb above then unleashes a circular shockwave inflicting heavy wither and darkness.
- Upon hit, inflicts great damage over 7.5 seconds. Utilize healing items to counteract the lethal damage
Enhanced Rage Bomb
Forms a red orb of energy above his head and launches it towards the target, tracking them down.
- To successfully dodge an Enhanced Rage Bomb, create some distance between you and Bloodlord Balthazar. Then walk in a circular motion to guide the bomb away from you
Enhanced Geyser Volley
Fires multiple volleys of 3 cylindrical blasts of fire towards player that launch players to the sky.
- Get as much distance as possible from Bloodlord Balthazar when he initiates this move. This allows for the 3 cylindrical blasts to spread out, giving you more room to evade them.
Savage Counter
Bloodlord Balthazar readies his stance and guards with his sword for several seconds. Any hit during this time initiates a counterattack that unleashes incredible amounts of damage.
- Don't let this attack take you by surprise. It reaches further than any of his melee attacks, and deals nearly enough damage to one-shot opponents
Fade Rush
Warps out of existence to an unknown location in within the arena. After several seconds, Bloodlord Balthazar reappears, sprinting towards his target with great speed. Once he closes in on his target, he flips into the air and slams his blade down with exceptional strength and agility.
- Head to the center of the arena when Bloodlord Balthazar initiates this move, to avoid the chance of him spawning close to you. Ender pearls are effective at escaping the range of this attack, but use them sparingly with cooldowns in mind
Lightning Destruction
A ring forms around Bloodlord Balthazar. After a few seconds, any players outside of the ring get teleported inside. They are slowed immensely.
Bloodlord Balthazar then points his sword to the sky, and summons a powerful surge of lightning down on any players within the ring. This attack deals high damage and also inflicts the Weakness and Confusion debuffs.
- To best avoid this move, make sure you are within the ring before he teleports players in to avoid the slowness debuff. If you can't enter the ring in time and get teleported in, use an ender pearl to escape the blast
- This attack is a great opportunity to deal damage, since he cannot attack throughout its duration. However, getting hit by the lightning blast inflicts 35 seconds of weakness upon the player, significantly reducing their damage output
Ancient Claymores
Stabbing his sword into the ground, Bloodlord Balthazar summons an Ancient Claymore above each player in the arena. These claymores emit a death aura which grows over time and deals immense damage to any player caught within its radius.
- Avoid the death aura of a claymore whenever possible, and be strategic in where you let the claymore fall
Life Sap Passive
Upon a player kill, Bloodlord Balthazar saps their life force and heals 5250 health.
Heal Wounds
After 90 seconds without taking damage, Bloodlord Balthazar will begin to heal himself at a rate of 600 health per second.
Moveset (Rage Mode)
At half health, Bloodlord Balthazar collapses to the ground, then quickly recuperates with immense hatred for those who have made him fall to his knees. Red particles form around his head. He unlocks new abilities and gains permanent damage reduction. Once in rage mode, he can no longer heal past 15000 health.
Note: He is invincible while down.
New Abilities
Annihilation
Bloodlord Balthazar teleports to his throne, raising his sword. A protection aura appears at a random location in the arena. After a few moments, anyone outside the aura will die.
- Head to the center of the arena for best chances of survival. Ender pearls are extremely useful for this ability, due to the small window you have to enter the protection aura.
Empowered Abilities
Lightning Destruction (Imbued Lightning)
After performing Lightning Destruction, Bloodlord Balthazar's sword now becomes Imbued with lightning for 35 seconds. Any melee attack he makes during this period will be followed by an additional lightning strike on the target's location. Attacks that are affected by this include:
- Basic moves
- Front Slam x3
- Savage Counter
- Fade Rush
Fade Rush's aerial combo now becomes especially lethal, nearly doubling its damage output. This is because every melee hit during the flurry of attacks will summon a lightning strike. It becomes especially important to avoid Fade Rush when Imbued Lightning is active.
Fade Rush
After Bloodlord Balthazar flips and slams to the ground, if his target was hit by the attack, they will now be sent up into the air. What follows is a devastating flurry of slashes. Finally, he slams his target into the ground, leaving an impact crater where they crash-landed.
- Avoid this move at all costs. There is no escaping this attack other than death. If you get sent into the air, immediately start consuming healing items and pray
Ancient Claymores
In rage mode, the radius of an Ancient Claymore's death aura because much larger (about 80% of the arena). However, Bloodlord Balthazar now takes longer to summon them. Use this time to coordinate and strategize.
- Improper placement of Ancient Claymores is one of the most common deaths while fighting Bloodlord Balthazar. To avoid this, all players must coordinate to drop their claymores in the same corner of the arena, ensuring that only half of the claymores death aura is exposed in the boss arena
- An advanced strategy used by players is dropping your claymores on the furthest side of the arena from Bloodlord Balthazar. This prevents him from using Lightning Destruction to teleport all players into the death aura; instead he will teleport everyone into a survivable zone of the arena where there is no death aura present
