Introduction

A favored pastime for many Teldarians, fishing provides both a source of steady income and an opportunity to stand out as a master angler. Getting started is as simple as getting a fishing rod and casting your bobber into the water!

The Fisherman

Until you level up your job, The Fisherman at /warp Fishing or /warp market will be your primary way of interacting with the fish menu and various features of fishing. Since water and Fishing Crates are nearby at /warp Fishing, it is recommended to start here; while you are at it, make sure you join the Fisherman job so you can earn money and unlock commands with /jobs join Fisherman.

Fatal Fishing Rod Enchantments

Lure 3 - Fishing speed is tied to Lure, so it is desirable to make sure your rod has Lure 3.
Luck of the Sea - This one is just for show. Since Teldaria has custom fish, it also has custom fishing loot drops and as such has disabled the vanilla item drops from fishing. This
Unbreaking 6 - Just like higher tier weapons and armor, the custom fishing rods far outlast their vanilla counterpart's durability.
Looting 4 - Looting directly affects the drop rate of items from crabs. What better tool to dispatch them than your fishing rod?

tFishing vs Fisherman Job Experience

There are two types of fishing experience that can be gained while fishing. The primary experience provided by fishing is related to tFishing and is affected by Totem, Augments, and the Party Fishing Bonus. The faster you level tFishing, the more skill points you will have to upgrade skills. The second type of experience gained is for every fish caught and levels up the Fisherman Job. The Fisherman Job is a source of income when every fish is caught, as well as unlocking a handful of QoL fishing commands.

Commands

General Fishing Commands

/warp Fishing - this is your go to command for Fishing Crates, as well as This Fisherman, who you'll become very well acquainted with until you're a high level Fisherman yourself.
/fish - this lists all fishing related commands available within Teldaria
/ft - this lists all fishing tournament related commands available within Teldaria
/fish skills - check on and specialize in certain fishing skills as you level up.
/fish entropy - check how much entropy you currently have.
/fish boosters - check how long you have left on any of your lures or boosters.
/fish stats <player> - check your own fishing stats, or the stats of other players to see how you compare.
/fish codex - this command brings up the list of all fish tiers and their associated information such as biome, world preference, and even who was the first to catch!
/fish augments - this command shows you the list of all augments and how to craft them.
/fish removedelivery - this command allows you to remove a delivery if for some reason you are unable to Shift-Right Click within the deliveries menu.
/fish removebait - sometimes you just don't want to wait for your bait to be used up. Run this command to cut bait so you can apply a different type.
/fish update - rarely used, this allows players to synchronize any fish in their inventory to the latest codex in the event codex fish are modified.

Tournament Fishing Commands

/ft info - Shows tournament information and your place within the tournament.
/ft time - Shows the time till the next tournament.

Fisherman Job Commands

A number of commands are level locked within the Fisherman job. If you haven't already, make sure you have joined the Fisherman Job.

Fisherman Job Level 50+ Commands

While The Fisherman at spawn has probably become your new best friend, once you reach level 50 Fisherman, you're proven yourself enough as a Fisherman to access these fishing commands from anywhere!

/fish menu - access the fishing menus from anywhere.
/fish bag - access an extra inventory to store all those fish while you're exploring or even just at your base.

Fisherman Job Level 75+ Commands

You can now access each of the following fish sub-menus directly from a command anywhere:

/fish shop - sell your fish
/fish bait - buy bait
/fish deliveries - view, send, and receive deliveries
/fish augment - modify augments on your fishing rod
/fish gut - gut fish for entropy
/fish scales - take a gamble on your fish
