Cosmetics

Cosmetics let you look the part without touching your stats. There are three types — hats, backpacks, and weapon textures — and every one of them is unlocked, not bought with stats: browse everything that exists and how to get it with /cosmetics.

The Three Types

Type What it changes Where it comes from
Hats Headwear model Crates, boss kills and job levels
Backpack cosmetics Your backpack's look Crates and boss kills
Weapon textures Your weapon's appearance Crates, rare drops from mobs, Mission Shops, boss loot and job levels

Hats

Hats replace the model on your head and are the most visible cosmetic you can wear. Plenty of them arrive with a holiday — most seasons bring their own additions — and several of the best come off boss kills, so wearing one doubles as proof you beat something.

Backpacks

Backpack cosmetics restyle the pack on your back, and there is a wide range of them, holiday sets included. Some are animated rather than static, so the model moves while you are wearing it.

Weapon Textures

Weapon textures are tied to the class of weapon they belong to, and every Teldaria weapon is covered — swords, daggers, great axes and bows each have their own sets, and fishing rods have textures of their own too. They come from every corner of the game at wildly different rarities: crates, rare mob drops, boss loot and the Mission Shops. Several boss tables carry a texture at around a 1% roll, putting them among the rarest drops on the server, while the Mission Shops sell a handful outright as permanent unlocks for Mission Points. Most jobs also unlock a texture as you level them; see Level Rewards.

The /cosmetics menus show every unlockable with its source, so it doubles as a collection checklist.

Keeping Your Cosmetics

Cosmetics won from crates arrive as vouchers — ordinary items you can hold, hand over or sell. Nothing reaches your account until a voucher is redeemed, so a duplicate of something you have already unlocked is worth giving to a friend or selling on rather than using.

Once redeemed, an unlock is tied to your account rather than to an item or an inventory slot, so there is nothing left to carry around, drop or lose on death. Unlocks are permanent — they stay yours through relogs, deaths, and even a full server reset, which wipes most other progress.

Some cosmetics are seasonal, handed out through crates and seasonal events that only run at certain times of year. Anything you unlocked while a season was live stays on your account for good, whether or not that cosmetic can still be obtained.
