Coin Flip
Coin Flip is Teldaria's player-versus-player gambling game. You put up an amount of money, call Heads or Tails, and your wager sits in a public queue until another player walks up, takes the other side, and the coin decides who walks away with the pot. You are never betting against the server — every flip needs a second, willing player on the other end.
Everything runs through /coinflip (short form /cf), and every player has
access to it by default. Stakes run from $1,000 to $1,000,000,000, the
house takes a 10% cut of the winnings, and both the creation of a game and
its result are announced to the whole server. There is no confirmation prompt
by default: one left-click on somebody's game locks the bet in and
the coin is flipped. Treat that click as final, because it is.
How It Works
- You create a game with
/cf <amount>, or through the Create Game button in the menu, and choose whether you are Heads or Tails. - Your game appears in the public Coin Flip menu, visible to everyone online, labelled with your name, your stake, and your lifetime win record.
- Another player opens the menu, left-clicks your head, and is automatically given the opposite side.
- The coin is flipped, the winner is announced server-wide, and both players get a summary in chat showing the pot, the winner, the payout and the tax that was taken off it.
Your game stays in the queue indefinitely until somebody takes it or you cancel it yourself. Nothing happens on a timer.
Wagers and Currency
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Minimum wager | $1,000 |
| Maximum wager | $1,000,000,000 |
| House tax | 10% of the winnings |
| Sides | Heads / Tails |
The tax is deducted from the winner's payout, and it is not hidden: the amount taken is printed in the public win broadcast and again in the game summary both players receive.
TODO: confirm exactly what a winning payout works out to — the 10% rate is certain, but whether it is taken off the whole pot or only off the profit needs an in-game test before an example is written here.
Creating a Game
The fastest way is the command: /cf 50000 creates a $50,000 game. You can
add a side and a currency on the end, as in /cf 50k heads.
When typing an amount you can use shorthand — k for a thousand and m
(or mio) for a million. 50k is 50,000 and 2m is 2,000,000.
If you would rather click than type, open /cf and use the Create Game
button in the bottom-right of the menu. That opens a build screen with quick
buttons for the stake:
| Button | Effect |
|---|---|
| $+1,000 | Adds 1,000 to the wager |
| $+10,000 | Adds 10,000 to the wager |
| $+100,000 | Adds 100,000 to the wager |
| $-1,000 | Removes 1,000 from the wager |
| $-10,000 | Removes 10,000 from the wager |
| $-100,000 | Removes 100,000 from the wager |
| Set Custom Amount | Type any figure into chat instead — type exit to back out |
| Right-click the info head | Switches your side between Heads and Tails |
How Many Games You Can Have Open
You can keep several wagers running at different stakes at the same time. Go over your limit and you are told "You have reached max amount of games".
| Permission | Open games at once |
|---|---|
| Default — everyone | 5 |
cf.vip |
10 |
cf.boss |
15 |
TODO: confirm which ranks, if any, actually grant the higher two tiers on Teldaria — the limits exist, but the ranks that carry them are not recorded here.
There is no server-wide cap on how many Coin Flip games can be running at once, so a busy queue never locks you out.
The Menu
/cf opens a three-row chest menu listing every open game on the server, up to
18 per page, with arrows on the bottom row to page through the rest. Alongside
them sit a Statistics book, a Help button, Create Game, and a close
button.
Every game in the list is a player head showing that player's stake and their lifetime wins, losses and win percentage — so you can size up an opponent before you take their bet. Bedrock players see games as yellow banners instead of heads; they work exactly the same.
A few heads you cannot click:
- A red barrier means the game's creator has logged off. Games stay listed when their owner leaves, but nobody can accept them until that player is back online.
- A barrier saying a player "can't play" means that player is already mid-flip in another game. Wait for it to finish.
- Your own head is a cancel button — clicking it takes your game down and
returns your stake, the same as
/cf cancel.
Closing the menu simply reopens it rather than doing anything to your games.
Accepting a Game
Left-click any other player's game and that is it — you are in, on the opposite
side to whatever they picked. By default there is no confirmation step, no
double-click and no chat prompt — unless you have switched one on for
yourself with /cf toggle confirmation. Make sure of the amount before you
click.
You cannot accept your own game, and you cannot accept from someone who is offline or already flipping.
Once a game is taken, a WINNER IS.. spin animation plays out and settles on the result. There is no countdown screen beforehand. The animation opens for the player who clicked accept; the person who created the game generally sees the outcome in chat rather than having a window thrown open on top of whatever they were doing.
Both players then get a centred Game summary in chat listing the money bet, the winner, the payout and the tax deducted.
Rules and Restrictions
| Rule | Detail |
|---|---|
| Game mode | Survival only — blocked in Adventure, Creative and Spectator |
| Worlds | Coin Flip works everywhere; no world is blocked |
| Own games | You cannot accept a game you created |
| Creator offline | A game cannot be accepted while its creator is offline |
| Opponent busy | You cannot accept from someone already mid-flip |
| Command cooldown | 5 seconds between Coin Flip commands |
| Create cooldown | 1 second between creating games |
| Confirmation | Off by default — a single left-click accepts; /cf toggle confirmation adds a prompt for your own accepts |
| Crash or disconnect | No refund. If you drop mid-game the bet still stands |
| Logging out | Your open games stay listed, but nobody can accept them until you return |
| Cross-server | Same-server only — there is no cross-server matchmaking |
Two of those deserve to be repeated in plain English. Disconnecting does not get you out of a flip — there is no crash refund, so a bad connection is your problem, not the server's. And logging out does not clear your open wagers; they will still be sitting there when you come back, so cancel anything you do not want live before you leave.
Broadcasts and Statistics
Every Coin Flip game created and every game won is broadcast to the entire server. There is no minimum stake for a broadcast — a $1,000 flip is announced just as loudly as a billion-dollar one.
TODO: the plugin carries a Discord result-embed setting, but the Discord bridge it depends on is not installed on the live server — confirm whether Coin Flip results actually reach Discord before stating that they do.
If you would rather not fill chat with it, /cf toggle broadcast mutes Coin
Flip announcements for you personally. Everyone else still sees them.
The system keeps a permanent record for every player:
| Stat | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Wins | Flips won |
| Losses | Flips lost |
| Profit | Net money made or lost across every flip |
| Win percentage | Wins as a share of your games played |
Check yours with /cf stats or the Statistics book in the menu. Everyone
else's numbers are on their game head in the queue, so your record is public
the moment you post a wager.
Staff can see a full log of every game created, cancelled, won and lost, including names and amounts. Abandoned games older than seven days are cleared out by a staff purge command.
Commands
Coin Flip chat messages are prefixed [tFlip]. /coinflip and /cf are the
same command.
| Command | What it does |

Open the Coin Flip menu and browse every open game |

Create a game for that amount on the side you name. $1,000 to $1,000,000,000; 50k and 2m shorthand work |

/cf cancel |
Take your own open game down and get your stake back |

Tips
- Read the head before you click. Stake and win percentage are both printed on it, and there is no undo once you have clicked.
- Cancel before you log off. Your games survive a logout, and you may not want a billion-dollar wager sitting in the queue while you sleep.
- Remember the 10% cut. Winning a flip does not double your stake — the house takes its share out of the winnings first.
- Turn broadcasts off if you flip a lot, both to spare chat and to keep a slightly lower profile while you play.
